Jadeite
Jadeite, exclusive variety bred by TaiShiang, bears a striking resemblance to the Golden passion fruit in appearance, yet offers a completely different flavor! Compared to common varieties, Jadeite already has a sweet and pleasant taste when the fruit has just turned from green to light green. When the color changes to pale yellow, it indicates full ripeness, at which point not only does the sweetness increase, but it also develops a delicate honey-like aroma—a unique flavor that sets it apart from ordinary varieties.

Jadeite bears a striking resemblance to the Golden passion fruit in appearance, yet offers a completely different flavor! The harvesting season for Jadeite falls between May and November. With proper production season regulation, year-round cultivation is achievable. It takes about 30 days on average from flower bud formation to blooming. The fruit matures in about 60 days during summer, while the ripening period averages 70–80 days in winter.

Passion fruit flowers only bloom for one day. The time of blooming varies by variety. Jadeite typically blooms in the afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., and blooming may be delayed further during the low temperatures of winter.

Not every passion fruit flower will set fruit. Successful fruit set depends on weather conditions, the nutritional status of the plant, and pollination success. If artificial pollination is applied, Blue Star can achieve a fruit set rate as high as approximately 85%. Juice yield varies by passion fruit variety. Jadeite has a juice yield of 50–55%, which is in the medium-to-high range. Its average sugar content (Brix) is 18°.
